Ingredients:

  • 1 lb skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1.5 tbsp olive oil
  • .5 tbsp butter

Garlic & thyme Chicken

1. Preheat a steel pan on high heat and preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit

2. Season the chicken thighs with olive oil, salt to taste, and pepper to taste.

3. Sear the chicken thighs until golden brown.

4. Peel garlic cloves while the chicken sears.

5. Turn off the heat and add thyme, garlic cloves, and chicken broth to partially cover the thighs.

6. Place the steel pan in the oven and cook for 40 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through.

Rice

1. While the chicken cooks, wash 1/2 cup of uncooked basmati rice until the water runs clear.

2. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and place in rice cooker until fully cooked.

3. Once finished, fluff up the rice and add in salt to taste

Gravy

1. Remove chicken from pan and reduce the remaining broth on high heat

2. Stir in butter until emulsified.

3. Optionally, add a dash of hot sauce and/or lemon juice

Plate and enjoy
